We are LSI Energy, the trading name of LSI Independent Utility Brokers Limited.

LSI Energy gathers and process your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations and law. This notice provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and obligations, and explains how, why and when we collect and process your personal data.

We are registered on the Information Commissioner's Office Register of Data Controllers under registration number Z3155154 and act as a data controller and data processor. Information That We May Collect

LSI Energy processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as is specified in this notice.

If You Fail To Provide Personal Data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with our services). In this case, we may have to cancel a service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement to do so.

  • Service providers acting as data processors who provide IT, system administration and other business functions;
  • Professional advisers, including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers based in the United Kingdom who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services to us; and
  • HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities based in the United Kingdom.

All data processors acting on our behalf only process your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply fully with this privacy notice, the data protection laws and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We have appointed the following data processors:

Taskeater UK Ltd t/a Growthonics, based in the UK, to collect Identity Data and Contact Data of potential and prospective customers from publicly available sources for marketing purposes. Growthonics shares this data internationally, including to the USA, within the Taskeater group of companies in order to provide its services to us. Further details and Privacy Policy:

Computer Software & Peripherals Ltd (CSP), provide us with Network support. Their offices and datacentre is located at 41, Market Street, Watford, Hertfordshire WD18 0PN. Further details and Privacy Policy:

UD Software Solutions Group Ltd, provide us with a price comparison and contract production platform and related services. They receive personal data from us in connection with their hosting of the platform and delivery of these services. They are based in the UK. Further details and Privacy Policy:

Intelligent VC Ltd, provide us with services for content development and email marketing campaigns in relation to our existing customers. They are based in the UK. Further details and Privacy Policy:

Third-Party Marketing

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

Opting Out

You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you or by contacting us at any time. Where you opt out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of purchasing services from us.

Safeguarding Measures

LSI Energy takes your privacy seriously and we take every reasonable technical and organisational measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: -

  • We store all the personal information you provide on our secure password and firewall protected hosted servers.
  • Computer Software & Peripherals Ltd (Network support) are certified for both ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 9001 (Management Systems) and are inspected annually. All staff have signed a Non-disclosure agreement.
  • We have Sophos anti-virus installed.
  • Daily back-ups of your data are made, one is stored offsite.
  • Mimecast - to encrypt and monitor our emails.

International Transfers

Some of our external third party data processors are based outside the EEA so their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the EEA.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

  • We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission. For further details, see European Commission: Adequacy of the protection of personal data in non-EU countries .
  • Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved by the European Commission which give personal data the same protection it has in Europe. For further details, see European Commission: Model contracts for the transfer of personal data to third countries.
  • Where we use providers based in the US, we may transfer data to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between Europe and the US. We are currently reviewing our contracts with our data processors who transfer or process personal data outside the EEA who use the Privacy Shield arrangements, including Growthonics, as a result of the judgment issued by the European Court of Justice on Thursday 16 July 2020.

How Long We Keep Your Data

LSI Energy only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations.

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.

Changes To The Privacy Policy And Your Duty To Inform Us Of Changes

We keep our privacy policy under regular review.
